Door of Hope Women's Retreat: The Walking Place
Spiritual movements for the pilgrim’s long walk of faith
During the teaching portions of the retreat, we will be examining three spiritual movements, through the lens of ancient practices that Christians have been participating in for thousands of years.
Prayer: From Opaqueness & Isolation to Transparency & Intimacy
Sabbath: From Anxiety & Scarcity to Abundance & Gratitude
Eucharist: From Competition to Compassion
Teachers for the retreat: Naomi Perry, Jessica Mackie, and Bri Henderson
Check-in for the retreat is from 4-7 pm. Dinner is not provided this first evening so you will want to plan on eating dinner before you leave or on the way. Also, there is limited parking, so please plan on carpooling, if you can!
Meals included in the ticket price are: breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Checkout will be at noon on Sunday.
There will be four sessions during this retreat: one on Friday evening, two on Saturday, and one on Sunday morning. When we are not having session or enjoying meals together, there will be free time for women to relax and enjoy a weekend away! We encourage bringing clothes to wear to the beach (on what will likely be a wet and cold weekend), clothes to hike in, a book to read, knitting supplies, or anything that you love to do in your free time!
If you have any questions, please contact Bri or Gina. Also, we do not want finances to get in the way of anybody attending this retreat. If you or someone you know would benefit from a scholarship, please let Bri know!
