Every new year is marked by resolutions that inevitably end in failure. Why? Maybe it is because there is is not the proper affection behind them to sustain them. Why is it the thing that we need the most the thing we ask for the least? Instead of resolutions that fail, why don’t we resolve ourselves toward a greater vision of God’s love for us, that we might be a reflection of that love to others. Not the illusion of love that the world puts forth, but a real solid vision of God’s love. For the greatest of these is love.
