The letter to the church of Ephesus in Revelation Chapter 2 is a letter to all churches in any age. It challenges what we, as the church, have the potential of losing at any given moment – and that is love. Jesus is consistent in His desire to take us to our center and forces us to look at what is driving our affections. At the end of the day, what He is most concerned with is: do we love Him? The danger of drifting is always present, but so is the mercy of Jesus, who calls us back again and again to our first love.
