When we come to the cross it is not only vital that we meditate fully on what Jesus did but we must also consider carefully what He said. For last words are always important, and in Christ’s last words we find the gospel spoken as it is literally being worked out. Here we have Jesus interpreting for us the meaning of the cross from the cross.
